Our Start the Conversation campaign to raise awareness of Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS/PTSD) takes place Presidents Day weekend 2017 and culminates in:
- Community events in the 435 congressional districts in the US
- Community awards to deserving individuals who’ve been affected by Post-Traumatic Stress, presented by civic leaders and news personalities
- The official premiere of of ACRONYM: The Cross-Generational Battle With PTSD
The documentary ACRONYM: The Cross-Generational Battle With PTSD is a powerful tool to raise awareness of PTS (PTSD) through the stories of those who know it all too well. Operation Wounded Minds has partnered with Mountain Time Media to bring ACRONYM: The Cross-Generational Battle With PTSD to the masses as a tool to raise awareness and kickoff our Start the Conversation campaign.
The documentary is a gripping, vivid and real account of the invisible trauma war leaves behind. Regardless of their combat tours in different wars, many US veterans living with PTSD share the same common enemy. ACRONYM takes a different approach to examining this important topic, with veterans sharing their most personal stories of both horror and triumph. The documentary does not place blame, nor does it suggest a singular approach to “solving” the issue. PTSD is a very personal and individual problem. The film presents both traditional methods and promising non-traditional techniques to PTSD and stress management. After documenting the triumphs, struggles, heartbreak and sacrifice of our veterans and their families, ACRONYM looks ahead with hope.
